Why you should avoid electrical DIY this weekend
Updated: Jul 17, 2019
The weekend is often a time that people choose to tackle challenges in the home that they normally don't get the chance to attempt during the working week. However, it is important to know when to leave it to the professionals.
This is especially the case when dealing with electricity, electricity that can, with one wrong move, lead to serious injuries, and in the worst case scenario fatalities.
Attempting to alter anything electrical in your home or working environment simply should not be attempted by someone without the professional experience, knowledge, skill level, or simple understanding of just how dangerous intervening with electricity can be.
Incorrectly installed wiring or cabling is a leading cause of fires throughout the UK, killing hundreds each year. It is so important to stress once again that if you don't know what you are doing, you must not attempt either installing repairing, or altering anything electrical. Whether it be in your home, or in your commercial space, it really isn't worth risking your safety or the safety of others.
