Specsavers (HQ)

Protest ES Ltd were chosen by the chain to deliver a programme of EET / PAT testing across a number of stores, as well as their main HQ located in Guernsey.

Much of the equipment that required testing was extremely intricate and sensitive, and our engineers are experienced with this type of testing, and showed great understanding.

The Project

The challenge

This huge multi-national company aims to provide the best value optometry, audiology and other healthcare service for their customers.

You can find stores in the UK, Ireland, Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Spain, Australia and New Zealand, employing over 38,000 people who work across 2,293 stores, as well as in support offices and throughout the supply chain.

They offer affordable eyecare and hearing services to customers across the globe.

The outcome

Protest ES Ltd implemented a comprehensive PAT testing program to ensure compliance with Electricity at Work Regulations 1989 through a structured preventative maintenance approach. This initiative not only fulfills the requirements set by insurance companies following an internal audit also prioritises the quick identification and resolution of any potential health and safety issues.

Additionally, the program enables the safe electronic storage of all electrical documents in one centralised location, streamlining access and organisation. With secure, paperless reporting available online at all times, duty holders can have peace of mind knowing that they are fulfilling their responsibilities for health and safety effectively.

We are proud to be responsible for inspecting and testing in large chains like this, and this provides a different set of challenges to independent facilities, providing great experience across the board for our engineers and office teams.
