How we help Facilities Mangers meet their site KPI’s

Protest ES Ltd understands that Facility and Estates managers work within many complex and demanding rules and regulations requiring expertise to meet their operational KPIs.

In the search for improving organisational performance, more and more facilities managers are using Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) as benchmarks to be measured.

The main purpose of Key Performance Indicators is to show exactly where facilities managers stand when compared to their pre planned goals,:

  • Are they on track?

  • Are they lagging behind?

  • Are they ahead?

For example, if a facilities manager's goal is to complete 10,000 PAT tests in 2 weeks.

The first week has passed, and the facilities manager has only had 3,000 completed.

The facilities manager knows that they are lagging behind with what they want to accomplish, and that they need to assess the work and make plans for the future accordingly.

Protest ES Ltd help facilities managers attach Key Performance Indicators to all their objectives, we make it easy for them to track and assess the work that is going on, and change the approach if needed to hit deadlines.

As a facilites manager you must always make sure you answer all your employees’ and stakeholders’ questions — if a lot of people are asking why certain KPIs are being pursued instead of other KPIs, that’s a sign that you are likely undercommunicating the relevance and importance of the chosen KPIs, and need to work on your approach.

The better employees and stakeholders understand the chosen KPIs and why they are being pursued in the first place, the better insights they will be able to offer, and the more relevant and potentially efficient your KPIs will become as a result of their suggestions.

Once a facilities manager has fully defined their Key Performance Indicators, they will need to track the progress of them. This can be on a weekly, biweekly, or monthly basis, depending on the type of short-term KPI targets they want to track and measure.

At Protest ES Ltd we help facilities managers hit their KPI's, listening to them and working with them to make sure we complete work to time and to cost.
